Hello! I'm Laurie. I'm a (very) amateur novelist and blogger, living in the Leicestershire countryside. 

I have a bit of a weak spot for earl grey, vintage knitwear, old books, D.H.Lawrence and the 1940's. This whole blog is inspired my love of language, literature and finding my path now that I've graduated.  Impressions of Elegance doesn't have too many expectations of itself - my posts are meant to be light-hearted (mostly) and are an outlet when I need to share something wonderful, moan a little or find some inspiration. There'll be lots about recent reads, music, vintage treats and anything I find inspiring. My aim is to aid my writer's block whenever and wherever I can, whilst giving you all something to think about of course.
